soooo, what's the problem and insight?
When UK parents send their children on their first big trip, the only financial guidance they know how to give is "don't spend too much,” leaving parents too unsure to say yes. 'Don’t spend too much’ is all parents can say, because they’ve never been shown what ‘too much’ really means.
The Idea!
Wise turns ‘don’t spend too much’ into a clear number, so parents can finally know when to say yes. In the supermarket aisle, where parents silently calculate, Wise makes those unspoken questions tangible, turning worry into confidence and giving children their first wings to travel.
A supermarket with no prices, forcing parents to face one question:
“How much is too much?”
Every product represents a decision parents have to make when their child travels. The back of the packaging looks like a normal nutrition label, but each reveals a hidden insight. Every product reflects a Wise Young Explorer feature, looking ordinary until you read it. Parents can scan the QR to turn a vague warning into a clear plan.
Parents scan the QR on a product to open the Wise trip calculator. They add the destination, duration, and budget, and for the first time, “don’t spend too much” becomes a clear number, not a guess.
Then they share the plan with their child through the Wise Young Explorer app. Together, they set limits, decide the trip, and turn worry into a shared plan, giving kids the confidence and freedom to travel.
For the first time, parents aren’t guessing. They’re deciding.
